I went in as a guest first. That’s the honest first impression: you get the index, the mega-thread titles, the view counts, and a wall of cam ads that have almost nothing to do with gay porn. The board itself is under “Gay, Transsexual & Bi-Sexual,” labeled Gay+ Bi, rule in big letters: mega threads only. If you live for long collection threads instead of one-off “look at this clip” posts, this is that kind of place.
What it feels like as a gay user
This is not Grindr, not a dating board, and not a “let’s talk about being gay” forum. It’s a file dump. The sticky and high-traffic threads are the ones that matter:

big HD/Full HD packs of twinks, men, mature
“latest gay XXX releases” on Rapidgator / Keep2Share
studio dumps (Nextdoor and similar)
vintage-to-new movie collections with “no paywall” in the title (the forum is free; the file hosts often aren’t)

As a gay man who has used boards like this for years, that’s the actual value: one thread you can keep checking instead of hunting 40 random posts. The reply counts (thousands to tens of thousands) and view counts (hundreds of thousands to millions) tell you people still treat those threads as living catalogs.
The vibe among posters is typical dump forum gay: blunt titles, no fluff, “here’s the pack.” If you want conversation about coming out, relationships, or scene drama, this section is the wrong room. If you want “I collected a lot of twink/hung/cut-uncut Full HD and I’m dumping it,” you’re in the right room.
The annoying parts (said as someone who still uses it)
Registration is free and they push it hard. Guests see almost nothing useful. That’s standard, but it still feels cheap when the homepage is already selling “friendliest community on the net” in red text.
The cam strip on the same page is the worst part of the experience. It’s mixed straight/cam traffic with the usual 18+ marketing and tags that look like they were written by an affiliate network, not by anyone curating a gay board. I skip that whole row. It’s not the gay section, it’s rent on the layout.
Then the usual dump-forum tax:

the good stuff is buried 200 pages into a mega-thread
quality is uneven because anyone with an account can dump

That’s not unique to Topboard. That’s the genre. You either accept it or you pay for a tube/premium site and stop pretending forums are convenient.
Design and trust:
XenForo is fine. It’s cleaner than the old phpBB dumps a lot of us grew up on. Domain has been around a long time, third-party scanners treat it as adult and “generally okay, not saintly.” I wouldn’t put real identity or a card I care about on an account here. Throwaway email, ad blocker, done.
My take:
If you’re a gay guy who still thinks in packs and hosts twinks in Full HD, studio scenes, “what dropped this week on RG” this board still works. The mega thread culture is the point, and that section is active enough that it doesn’t feel abandoned.
If you want a modern gay tube, a clean gay only community, or anything that doesn’t make you fight file hosts and cam ads, this will feel dated and messy. I don’t come here to feel represented. I come here when I want a big pile of gay porn links in one place and I’m willing to dig.
Score from me: useful dump board, not a destination. Register only if you already know how these forums work. Stay in the mega threads. Ignore the cams.
