Once you get past the junk, there’s a lot. Haikyuu and MHA stuff, Naruto village orgies, Kingdom Hearts, random original 3D couples, older Flash looking clips that have been reuploaded a hundred times. Quality jumps around like crazy. One video is crisp 1080p, the next is a muddy 480p rip with baked in watermarks and someone else’s username in the corner. Length is all over the place too five minute scenes next to thirty second loops that are just the same thrust over and over.
Streaming usually works. Buffering isn’t terrible on a decent connection. The player is the same clunky thing XVideos has used forever. Ads are aggressive. Pop unders, fake your video is ready buttons, cam site banners. If you don’t have an ad blocker you’re going to hate yourself.
What I actually like:
The volume is the real draw. When I’m in a very specific mood muscular 3D guys, a particular anime pairing, that slightly ugly bara style I can usually find something. Not always good, but something. It’s free. I don’t have to give a card number just to see if the clip is even what the thumbnail promised. Sorting by date or duration helps when I don’t want another two-minute teaser. Comments are sometimes useful, other gay guys will say wrong video or better version on page 3 and they’re often right.
There’s also a certain honesty to it. Nobody’s pretending this is boutique animation. It’s a dump. You treat it like a dump. You take what you want and leave the rest.
What pisses me off
The search is sloppy. Gay cartoon should not return a bunch of women. Switching to xvideos.com/gay and searching there is better, but you have to remember to do it. A lot of the cartoon results are just live action with a cartoon thumbnail or a title someone slapped on for views. Reuploads everywhere. Same scene, five different channels, three different titles.
Downloads are locked behind Red unless you hunt for workarounds, and even then the files are often the same compressed mess you already streamed. Older animation looks dated in a way that isn’t charming. Some of the AI looking stuff is uncanny and not in a good way. And because it’s a tube, you never know if the video you liked last month is still there or got taken down and replaced with a worse copy.
The gay section of XVideos in general is huge, which is good, but the cartoon/hentai/3D slice of it isn’t curated at all. You’re doing the work the site should have done.
Would I recommend it?
For a quick look, yes. If you already live on tubes and just want gay animation without paying, this search especially from the gay homepage will keep you occupied. I use it. I complain while I use it. That’s the relationship.
If you want cleaner libraries, better tagging, fewer straight thumbnails, or actual series instead of random clips, you’ll outgrow this pretty fast and start bookmarking dedicated yaoi/hentai tubes or paying for studios that actually animate the kind of guys you like. XVideos is the place you start, not the place you stay if you’re picky.
